In the Russian folklore tale Vasilisa the Beautiful (Russian: Василиса Прекрасная) – Baba Yaga asks the little girl to perform a few tasks and one of the tasks is to separate poppy seeds from grains of soil. She learns to face great power in others and subsequently one’s own power. Yaga’s house is an instinctual world, alive and bursting with joyful wild life.
