DIVING IN...
Those Layers. My work explores the many dimensions of this art form, from combining images and words to layering sound and movement. Through my creative process, I capture those surreal elements of folk tales, in order to have a glimpse depths of the human psyche.
I draw inspiration from a diverse range of sources, including mythology, anatomy, astronomy, and inevitably so my own lived experience e.g. displacement and migration have played a crucial role in the weaving of my artistic tapestry.
Each piece is a meticulous assemblage, with each element chosen carefully to create a cohesive and impactful whole.
My work is about exploring the boundaries and going beyond them. I believe that bringing oneself to the edge of comfortability can uncover new ways of seeing, feeling, questioning.
At the heart of my artistic practice is a commitment to mental health and well-being. Where mental ecology and emotional landscapes take the front seat after years of extenuating pressure and self-critisism.
Through my art, I seek to inspire others to make conscious choices that support a more sustainable future. By cutting and pasting discarded materials and highlighting the interconnectedness of all living things.
Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to create work that stimulates, intrigues and inspires.
I believe that art has the power to evoke deep emotions and transform our understanding of our inner and outer world, and it is my hope that my work may contribute to this transformation even slightly.
